Mejor de lo que admití al principio. Si juegas en una tele grande y odias elegir entre fps y resolución, vale la pena; si no, ahorra. Better than I first admitted. If you game on a big TV and hate choosing between fps and resolution, it pays off; if not, save your money.

Compré la PS5 Pro convencido de que era para entusiastas con más dinero que criterio. Cinco juegos después, comparando lado a lado con la base, sigo pensando que el precio es difícil de justificar — pero ya no que sea humo.
Dónde se nota (y dónde no)
La diferencia no está en los números de la caja, sino en dejar de elegir. En la base saltabas entre “calidad” y “rendimiento”; en la Pro, muchos juegos te dan ambas. El PSSR hace el trabajo pesado, y en una tele grande de 4K se ve. En una pequeña, no tanto.
En los cinco juegos, el modo único de la Pro igualó o superó al modo rendimiento de la base — pero con la nitidez del modo calidad.
¿Para quién es? Para quien tiene una tele grande, juega a títulos exigentes y le sobra presupuesto. Para el resto, la base sigue siendo una compra más sensata.
I bought the PS5 Pro convinced it was for enthusiasts with more money than judgment. Five games later, side by side with the base unit, I still think the price is hard to justify — but no longer that it is hot air.
Where it shows (and where it doesn’t)
The difference isn’t in the box numbers — it’s in no longer choosing. On the base you jumped between “quality” and “performance”; on the Pro, many games give you both. PSSR does the heavy lifting, and on a big 4K TV it shows. On a small one, less so.
Across all five games, the Pro’s single mode matched or beat the base’s performance mode — but with the sharpness of quality mode.
Who is it for? Someone with a big TV, demanding games and budget to spare. For everyone else, the base remains the smarter buy.
