Llevo años repitiendo que para sala oscura no hay nada como el OLED. Sigue siendo verdad. Pero la mayoría no vemos la tele a oscuras, y aquí esta Samsung da una lección.
Brillo que se nota de día
Con ~2.000 nits de pico, el HDR explota incluso con las cortinas abiertas, y el blooming — el gran defecto histórico del Mini-LED — está tan controlado que hay que buscarlo a propósito. El precio, frente a un OLED del mismo tamaño, no es comparación.
Midió 1.980 nits en una ventana del 10%: suficiente para que el HDR no se rinda ante el sol de una sala de estar.
¿Para quién es? Para salones reales, con ventanas, donde el brillo importa más que el negro perfecto. Si tu cine es una cueva, el OLED sigue siendo tu rey.
For years I’ve repeated that nothing beats OLED in a dark room. Still true. But most of us don’t watch in the dark, and here this Samsung teaches a lesson.
Brightness you notice by day
At ~2,000 nits peak, HDR pops even with the curtains open, and blooming — Mini-LED’s historic flaw — is so controlled you have to hunt for it. The price, against a same-size OLED, isn’t close.
It measured 1,980 nits on a 10% window: enough that HDR doesn’t surrender to a living-room’s sunlight.
Who is it for? Real living rooms, with windows, where brightness matters more than perfect black. If your cinema is a cave, OLED is still king.
